Hi, pls show this sort of info info: "Processed 9289/309220, estimated 10h 40m 52s left, 19m 50s elapsed" on the status icon.

Can the reporter of this bug set the _version_ so we can target bugs to work on more easily please. We can also have an idea about if these bugs are likely to be obsolete too.

If you don't set the version, we are less likely to look at them.

Sorry for the spam, but I don't want to say this 88 times on each bug :)

I am going to mark this as WONTFIX for a few reasons:

1. This is possible using tracker-status at the moment and I don't know how useful this is to desktop users anyway. It should *just work* without needing to know about statuses. I can see where it makes sense for imported media (like inserting a new CD or USB disk).

2. The tracker-search-icon has now been removed in master.

3. This should really be done using the message tray APIs so it works in GNOME shell and probably also in tracker-miner-fs somewhere. This would be quite trivial to add if someone wrote a patch following the guide lines here:

  http://live.gnome.org/GnomeShell/Design/Guidelines/MessageTray/Compatibility

Moving to miner-fs

Yeah, 'tracker-status --follow --detailed' does provide this functionality, but it doesn't display the remaining time. I think that's the best place to show this info.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.

Unfortunately, it adds a new parameter to a public function so it won't be in 0.10.x.
