GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 611231
add reload button when document is damaged
Last modified: 2013-06-15 07:35:25 UTC
When loading a damaged file, in my case a pdf file which is being created, evince says "the document is damaged". There is a cancel button, but i think a reload button should be more appropriate.
I’d was about to add the same request for the "document could not be opened, file not found" dialog. When you are generating your PDF files (e.g. using latex), this is a valid use case. If you do not want to clutter the UI, you could at least make the reload menu entry (Ctrl-R) sensitive even when the file loading failed.
BTW, I’d be willing to try to cook up a patch if this feature would be accepted.
Just checking: Can some developer mark this bug as CONFIRMED or WONTFIX?
The proper solution is to detect when the document has finished being changed. This has been discussed in: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=304249#c110 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 304249 ***
