Suggested UI for Information window

Following on from the presentation from Charline Poirier about making Empathy a bit more "people centric" I drew up a quick suggestion for the Information window that can be accessed for each contact.

The main part of it is to display a list of recent interactions that you've had with that contact. For example, one entry in this menu could be to state that you had a conversation on a particular date. Double-clicking would bring up the log file for that date and allow you to view the log.

Another example is to view that a file was sent or received from a particular contact. It would display the date and name/location of the file sent/received, even if it has changed since. Double--clicking would attempt to reopen that file.

Thanks Antonio!

Adding Nick and Matthew in CC to see what they think.

That's a good start. The next step is to sketch five or ten other possible layouts. Then list what's good and bad about each one.

Some questions to consider while you're sketching alternatives:

- How would you get from a person listed in that window, to their address book card? Should the card be part of the same window, or should it be a different window? What would be the benefits of each?

- How would you get from a conversation listed in that window, to the log of that conversation? You suggest double-clicking, but what are some other possibilities? What would be the benefits of each?

- How would you get from a transferred file listed in that window, to the file itself, or the folder containing the file?

In 3.6, the information dialogue is gone completely. Remaining issues should be filed in gnome-contacts.
