GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 611054
While composing new E-Mail, entering the Nickname causes unwanted "," within contact
Last modified: 2011-11-16 11:50:55 UTC
Hello, When composing a new E-Mail, we usually use "Nicknames" (see contact information) to fill in the "TO:" "CC" and "BCC" fields. When the Nickname is typed in, the contact name and E-Mail Address is shown. After hitting "ENTER", an unwanted "," (comma) is inserted between the contact name or the E-Mail causing the E-Mail Address/Contact information to be corrupted and the E-Mail bounces. Here an example: I type "blah01" in the "TO:" field, which is the Nickname of "Blahme, Victoria". I see "blah01 <victoria.blahme@sampledomain.com>". After hitting "ENTER", it happens quite often that a "," is inserted between the contact like described above. Here a sample: After hitting "ENTER": I should see "Blahme, Victoria" <victoria.blahme@sampledomain.com> and I see "Blah, me, Victoria" <victoria.blahme@sampledomain.com> or "Blahme, Victoria" <victo, ria.blahme@sampledomain.com> This issue cannot be reproduced 100% of the times, though it happens quite often. Regards, Harald
