GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 610985
[PATCH] Add support for 16:10 aspect ratio
Last modified: 2010-02-25 16:34:07 UTC
Created attachment 154613 [details] [review] Patch against commit 6f64e37b5ae01131e67911e76639d5c2ba727793 The attached patch adds support for 16:10 aspect ratio which is useful if one wants to view a 16:9 or 4:3 video on a 16:10 laptop; because those aspect ratio changes are not very dramatic; but one gets full screen. The patch was written against 2.28.5, but reapplied on the current git. I could not test it in the git version, but it worked perfectly in 2.28.5.
The menu isn't about the display aspect ratio, but about the video stream's aspect ratio. If the aspect ratio of the screen is wrong, you should file a bug against X. See bug 564447 and bug 566235. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 564447 ***
No, my screen has 16:10 and the video 16:9. I just want to stretch the video to 16:10.
So you want to use zoom then. Making videos look deformed isn't really something I want Totem to do.
