screen shot example without borders

When taking a screen shot of a window, the tool excludes the border (title bar, etc.)
Same behaviour when run from gui or command line.
This appears to be the result of a recent update. Was working yesterday afternoon (23/02/2010), today not.
I have called this a blocker because I cannot do my work (tech writing) without it.
Thanks.

Hello,

the border behavior is an option in gconf you can change.
Could you check with your distro if the packager did change the defaut behavior.

ah, don't set this bug as a blocker, this is *NOT* a blocker (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/page.cgi?id=fields.html#importance)
Comment 2 Baptiste Mille-Mathias 2010-02-24 11:23:00 UTC
ah also, please provide version you used before and version now, because we need much information as possible.

OK, sorry about the blocker (it was a blocker for me...).

This occurred after activating partial "visual effects" in Ubuntu 9.04 (slipped my mind). Deactivated and problem went away.

Compiz is a non-reparenting window manager, and this makes it impossible to for gnome-screenshot to capture the frame decoration.

OK, thanks to all. If only commercial software had such good support!
