Description Omer Akram 2010-02-21 15:49:15 UTC
When a contact sends me a message I can see the message but the protocol icon is not shown in either notify-osd or gnome's default notification system. The same worked with pidgin.

This only happens if the contact dont have an avatar image. If there is an avatar then it is displayed in the notificaions.
Comment 2 Guillaume Desmottes 2010-03-10 14:23:30 UTC
I don't see any reason to display the protocol here. We should be coherent and always use the same icon to represent a contact without avatar.
Comment 3 Omer Akram 2010-03-10 14:32:46 UTC
at the moment empathy dont show anything when a contact without avatar send a message. will be a new icon for this in 2.30?
Comment 4 Guillaume Desmottes 2010-03-10 14:58:30 UTC
I just tested and it displays the "person" icon.
