Description Chris Lord 2010-02-15 11:31:08 UTC
If you have a folder with sub-folders in it and you mark that folder as read, a dialog pops up asking you if you just want to apply this action to the selected folder, or all of its sub-folders too.

This is very useful, but this dialog will appear even if the sub-folders have no unread mail in them. So, other than acting as a confirmation dialog, it serves no purpose in this (very common) case.

Would be nice if Evo checked this and skipped the dialog in this situation.

I'm still getting these unnecessary dialogs for newsgroups with 2.30.2. In some earlier version of Evolution they appeared only when I had subscribed to, say groups a.b and a.b.c, but now I'm getting these dialogs every time I try to mark messages read in any newsgroup.
