Description Tony Houghton 2010-02-13 17:16:03 UTC
There don't seem to be any options to configure which button is emulated by tapping with 2 or 3 fingers or by tapping in the corners. Please provide these options because I don't like the default settings and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to change them.
Comment 1 Hiroyuki Ikezoe 2010-02-14 00:27:51 UTC
I agree. GPDS should provide such settings. But there is a problem to set tap actions by GPDS.

GNOME mouse properties modifies these settings, so if GPDS modifies the settings, it will conflict.

I have no idea to resolve the issue for now.
Comment 2 Tony Houghton 2010-02-14 14:42:31 UTC
The existing options are the same as in GMP aren't they? I suppose this works because both programs react the same way to the same options. I think to fix this the same options would have to be added to GMP (even if they don't want to add to the GUI it could get the settings from gconf keys instead of hardwiring) so I'll clone this bug.

GPointingDeviceSettings is not under active development anymore and saw its last non-cosmetic code changes in 2010. Its codebase has been archived:

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
