I have nothing in application list but the search function can be used for loading application, why?

what version, and did you build it yourself or are you using a package?

Does gnome-shell print any warnings, either at startup or when you click on the "More" link?

What LANG setting are you using exactly, and does it work if you use "LANG=en_US" instead?
