create a new account of msn and click login it will login without a problem but the main window shows not logged in unless click on another account and click back or close and start the accounts window.

which version are you using? this could be bug #604628 which should be fixed in one of the latest versions...

I am using 2.29.90 and this bug is not similar to 604628 I am online but the account window doesnot show that I am online. the workaround is to click on another account and then click back on the newly created account/close and open accounts window again. this will trick user in believing that they are not online.

It works here (tested with 2.29.6.20100124 and 2.29.90.20100211), can somebody else reproduce this?

Can you check if this happens also when there are other accounts enabled? Maybe it is a problem with only one active account...

The LP bug with accounts showing "null" as status is definitely resolved...

Can somebody else reproduce this specific bug? I cant :(

I can reproduce this in empathy 2.29.90. should I try one from git?
