GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 609278
remember the size and maximization state of the windows
Last modified: 2018-07-16 10:12:16 UTC
Please remember the window size and whether or not they were maximized.
Is your idea that this would be remembered on a global or a per-document basis?
To me it would make more sense that it is global... the reason I'm requesting this feature is that I want to use my huge screen to the max by having it maximized by default. Per document would also probably not work because we're talking about a PDF editor, there's many chances that - if you edit in place, and you're done with your changes, you won't need to re-open this document again - if you extracted into a new document, the original document probably won't be used anymore or will be deleted - having to size it up for each new document kinda defeats the purpose - etc. Thanks!
Cool, thanks for explaining. I think I thought you were also requesting remembering position, which I'd be hesitant and probably opposed to doing. I think I'm fine with maximization state and size, though.
This will be trivial to do once bug #605902 is fixed - and ideally we move Banshee's src/Core/Banshee.ThickClient/Banshee.Gui/PersistentWindowController.cs into Hyena.Gui as well.
pdfmod is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes in 2011. Its codebase has been archived: https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/pdfmod/commits/master Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
