When I open trough Nautilus a picture in Eye Of GNOME, the EOG window won't get the focus.

This generates a bad behavior for the user. For instance, I always try to press left or right to keep viewing the photos, but it won't work because eog is not focused.

Even worse, I usually find myself pressing ctrl+Q or Alt+F4 to close the picture, but instead of that the file manager gets closed :(.

Could be this is possible related to bug 582931.
Is it happening for the first picture as well in your case (try killall -9 eog first)?
