"In gnome-terminal, edit -> profile preferences -> background, the labels are incorrect for the slide.

It says 'None', but you get full transparency. The other side says 'Maximum', but you get no transparency.

An easy way to solve this is to invert the slide. Attached, a patch who does exactly that.
