Description Ben B 2010-02-01 08:08:31 UTC
I am trying the new Alpha version release of Ubuntu 10.04, which includes Firefox 3.6. I tried using what appears to be the latest release of the extension, which I got from
http://beagle-project.org/Browser_Extension#Firefox_Extension
and is advertised as version 1.1.2.

When I try to install it, I get the error message "Beagle Indexer 1.1.2 could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 3.6".

Could it be updated? It would be great to get a new version into the long-term support release that is coming out very shortly.

Beagle is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes in early 2011. Its codebase has been archived (see bug 796735):

"tracker" is an available alternative.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
