Description Hib Eris 2010-01-29 12:37:51 UTC
Evince should check for updates on Windows.

We can use Gedit as an example implementation. See http://git.gnome.org/browse/gedit/tree/plugins/checkupdate

This feature would be marvellous!

In the whole debate (created by F-Secure e.g.) about a secure pdf reader for windows it absolutely necessary to have such an option implemented.

OK, as I really would love this feature I will pay for it!

I created an item at cofundos.org (Community funded OpenSource), a site where people can offer money for complete programs or new features / bugfixes.

One guy joined my effort and offered 10€ as well.

The dev fixing the bug here and bringing the patch upstream and packaged will gain 20€ so far.

Hey,

as there is a security issue with the current evince
( https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=640923 ) I got curious if there is any progress on this feature request?

On cofundos are still 20€ offered for this to be completed.
