GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 608324
Sticky Notes are not imported on Fedora 12
Last modified: 2010-01-30 01:23:58 UTC
I have upgraded my Fedora 11 (with the preupgrade tool) installation where I had been using Sticky Notes, to Fedora 12. Upon logging in I was told (only once) that Gnome no longer supported Sticky Notes and that I should use Gnote. I was assured in the docs I read that Gnote automatically imports Sticky Notes on first run. It did not. I have deleted the ~/.gnote folder and tried again. No luck. I noticed that the folder includes a file: stickynoteimport.ini -- the first run value remains true. I am running: kernel-2.6.31.12-174.2.3.fc12.x86_64 gnote-0.6.3-1.fc12.x86_64 Gnome is 2.28
Could be related with the bug 605382 ? @Louis, do you have installed tomboy?
Hi [root@lvd-pc louis]# rpm -qa | grep tomboy [root@lvd-pc louis]# Tomboy is not installed. It does sound the same as bug 605382. But what is the solution? Is there an update for Gnote being worked on that will fix this? Thanks!!
Only for confirm this is the same bug, can you install tomboy and check if gnote import?
Hi I installed tomboy, and as I opened it and ran it, all my sticky notes were there. I want to move to Gnote now. But HOW do I do that? My tomboy notes are all over the place! e.g. /home/louis/.config/tomboy /home/louis/.local/share/tomboy How do I convert to Gnote now? Must I first UNINSTALL tomboy? Thanks Louis
