Description Jean-François Fortin Tam 2010-01-25 19:29:51 UTC
Initially filed on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pitivi/+bug/508464

pulsesink.c(290): gst_pulsering_is_dead (): /GstPipeline:pipeline1/GstBin:pitivi-audiosink/GstAutoAudioSink:autoaudiosink2/GstPulseSink:autoaudiosink2-actual-sink-pulse

This happens in PiTiVi git by seeking the following samples:
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/38372383/MOV00D.MOD
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/38372432/MOV00E.MOD
Comment 1 Jean-François Fortin Tam 2010-02-15 01:25:40 UTC
I can't really seem to reliably reproduce this with the two previous .MOD files, but I'm now able see this problem with some .vob files. With the vob file, this does seem to be related to pulseaudio, because you can see the "pitivi" application flashing frantically in gnome-volume-control's "applications" tab. It seems as if the stream was constantly opened and closed!

PITIVI_DEBUG=*:5 GST_DEBUG=2 bin/pitivi > debug.log 2>&1;
this debug log is much smaller than the first one.

Needs investigation (because it breaks sound in those scenarios), so setting it target 0.13.4 so that we at least try to figure it out.

Bumping to next milestone :(
Comment 9 Jean-François Fortin Tam 2010-12-12 18:06:20 UTC
Downstream couldn't reproduce the problem anymore.
