GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 608060
Nautilus Preferences uses "nautilus" icon where "file-open" icon should be used
Last modified: 2010-07-04 20:08:32 UTC
In the Nautilus Preferences window, on the 'Media' tab, there is a list of drop-down boxes allowing you to choose the default action to be executed when different kind of media are discovered. There is an option for automatically opening the device with Nautilus. This action is illustrated with the icon "nautilus". As demonstrated at <http://library.gnome.org/devel/hig-book/stable/icons-design.html.en> this violates GNOME's HIG. Instead the "file-open" icon should be used. The original reported provided this screenshot to illustrate the problem: <http://launchpadlibrarian.net/33825654/Screenshot-File%20Management%20Preferences-now.png>. A. Walton left a comment with a Git commit -- which I can't find back -- that should solve this bug here: <https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/453837/comments/6>. This bug was originally reported by Lightbreeze on Launchpad in Ubuntu at <https://launchpad.net/bugs/453837>.
This is a nice little bug, isn't it? Confirming.
Wonderful. I could have sworn I committed this, but it's not in the repository, so I pushed it this time and double checked. Sorry for the delay.
