Description Reimundo Heluani 2010-01-24 23:21:10 UTC
On of my contacts (always the same one) shows offline on empathy while on pidgin I can test he's online.

If he initiates a text-chat, I can answer without problems except the fact that my contact still appears as offline (papyon debug logs reflect this as well).

If I initiate the text chat on the other hand, my contact never gets the message and I can see in the empathy debug logs that the offline messages are queued (and writen to ~/.local/Empathy/logs/...)

I am filing this bug upstream cause I've seen at least one filing in the Ubuntu launchpad https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/489647 but no reference to an upstream bug.

I'm running latest git version of all telepathy components.

Sounds like a telepathy-butterfly issue. Please open a bug on bugs.freedesktop.org and attach logs.
