This debug.out possible solving what the problem with Yelp webkit migration and Orca.

Dear Developers,

Latest Yelp version is impossible to use with Orca screen reader. I don't no, this problem is Orca related or not, or Ubuntu specific problem only, or this problem have because Yelp migrated with webkit, and Orca now does'nt support this.

In my Ubuntu Lucid system have following Yelp version:
2.28.0+webkit-1ubuntu1

Oldest yelp version (since 2.24.x versions) works fine with Orca, because I think using Gecko.

I sending a debug.out file, this debug.out file demonstrate what happen now when I click help button for example with Orca screen reader main window.

Arki do a bugreport with Launchpad, with related this problem, the link is:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/507917

If this is not an Orca related problem, possible write help comments with the copyed bugreport link?

Thanks,

Attila

I suspect this is due to the migration to WebKit -- WebKit a11y is still being worked on.

And still has quite a ways to go. We need quite a few more changes/fixes to take place on the WebKit side of things for it to be accessible.

Unblocking.

Not necessarily because everything WebKitGtk is fixed. But because a lot is fixed and because we need to start working on a script in Orca for Yelp 3.0, identifying new bugs, etc., etc.

To be honest, if you have the latest Yelp+WebKitGtk (i.e. built from source), things should be working much better. While there will undoubtedly be additional changes needed, the blanket "just doesn't work" of this bug should no longer apply. Please open new, more specific bugs for any issues you encounter. Thanks!
