Description Marc-Andre Lureau 2010-01-19 19:25:31 UTC
Hi

I use gnome-terminal on a netbook, and usually in full-screen.

I noticed something that started to irritate me a lot when working late at night :-P The screen "flash" when I switch my desktop to a workspace with a terminal. I think I tried with a compositor and it didn't happen. However, I don't usually run a compositor.

I thought that might be the main window redrawing itself. I tried changing default background widget color to my terminal, and it indeed removed the flash/flicker perception.

Is there a way we could avoid repainting the parent/main window of the terminal to avoid this effect?

thanks
