What were you doing when the application crashed? Nothing. Evolution was open on a desktop that was not being used. Restarting evolution, I discovered that about 4700 read messages had been duplicated in one of my folders, all of the duplicates in Unread status. The duplications stopped in 2007. (I maintain a large archive.) The folder contains about 10,000 messages.
What does Menu -> Help -> About say for Evolution version ? If it's 2.26.x then i will close bug as obsolete because in upstream, Evolution 3.0.x and Evolution 2.32.x are supported. There won't be any bug fix or update for Evolution 2.26.x version.
This was version 2.26.x
Jonathan, will you please track your bug in redhat bugzilla. Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. However, you are using a version that is too old and not supported anymore. GNOME developers are no longer working on that version, so unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes for the version that you use. By upgrading to a newer version of GNOME you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of GNOME. Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer version of GNOME.
