GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 606674
Support for application-indicators/StatusNotifierIcon
Last modified: 2013-12-14 22:35:31 UTC
We would like to support application-indicators for gnome-bluetooth as proposed at this page: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopExperienceTeam/ApplicationIndicators The work has not started, so I wanted to open this bug as a placeholder and to get feedback on the feature, thanks!

Xan, sigh, I mispasted, this is a wishlist bug for application indicators in Epiphany.
Do we really need one at all? From launchpad bug report: Recommendation: This shouldn’t be in the panel at all. Instead, add a “Downloads” menu item below “File” > “Save As…”, that opens the Downloads window. Remove the notification area item.
Can't see why this would be needed.
