Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Without a stack trace from the crash it's very hard to determine what caused it.
Can you get us a stack trace? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance!
Comment 2 Jean-François Fortin Tam 2010-01-06 13:00:50 UTC
This is on Windows. I can't provide a stack trace (even if I was comfortable/had the knowledge to do so). But I can assure you the bug is damn easy to reproduce.
Comment 3 Daniel Leidert 2010-01-06 21:36:40 UTC
I get no stacktrace even with gdb. But the cuplrit are the (notebook-?)tabs of the sidebar (bottom). As soon as the first disappears, a runtime error is reported.
Comment 4 Daniel Leidert 2010-01-06 21:38:54 UTC
We IMO need either a minimum-width or a scrollbar. Without them the tabs are also not accessible if the sidrbar width gets too small.

JFTR: This issue does not appear from within Msys/Mingw.
Comment 5 Olivier Sessink 2010-01-11 22:06:43 UTC
We've seen this issue on Linux as well, it has been on the mailinglist. I think it was related to the gtk version.
Comment 6 Daniel Leidert 2010-01-11 23:20:48 UTC
It still is related to the Gtk version. In my MSYS environment everything works fine. The problem just happens with the Gtk version installed by the Windows installer.
Comment 7 Shawn Novak 2010-01-18 23:08:21 UTC
I can reproduce this on Windows 7 but it does not happen on Windows 2000 with the same GTK+ version installed.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

bluefish.exe
the program has requested the runtime to terminate itself in an unsual way

this has been fixed with the gtk 2.24 installer on windows, bluefish 2.2.3 uses gtk 2.24
