Description tsguerin 2010-01-05 19:06:03 UTC
When viewing "Library/Music" with "Browse" toggled on:

Rhythmbox appears to first randomly choose a folder, then a song or folder within that folder.

That is annoying to me as I expect Shuffle to randomly choose from among all the songs in "Library/Music" individually.

My music tends to be organized Artist/Album/Songs, so in result I get just as much play of an artist of whose I only own one song, as I do of a favorite artist of whose I own many songs.

(It does appear to me that if "Browse" is toggled off, Shuffle mode is as random as I would expect.)

Thank you!

If you select something from one of the browsers, it can only play songs that match that selection. If you don't, the browser has absolutely no effect on the play order.
