GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 606125
Should be able to ignore unknown streams (ex: mpegts teletext)
Last modified: 2014-04-22 23:14:05 UTC
Originally reported at https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/305731 I have a mpg file recorded from a DVB-T set-top box. When I attempt to import it in pitivi, I get the following error: Problem : Got unknown stream type : private/teletext Extra information : You are missing an element to handle this media type. The teletext stream is irrelevant, all I need are the video and audio streams, which exist and are known. However, pitivi refuses to import the file since it does not know what this teletext stream is. It should at least provide an option to ignore this stream, but ideally it should just ignore unknown streams by default.
This might very well be fixed in the GES version... will have to be tested with MPEG TS files, but that brings other problems such as bug 609601.
Hi there, As Pitivi 0.91 has now been released, we would like to encourage you to test it. It is quite possible that your issue is fixed in this version, as it is a very significant technical overhaul compared to the 0.15 series. Read more about the 0.91 release here: http://wiki.pitivi.org/wiki/0.91 If you can reproduce this bug against 0.91 or newer (such as the git version), please update this bug report accordingly with detailed instructions to reproduce the bug, updated sample files/projects in xges format, etc. Drop by our IRC channel if you need help getting started or want to help out! Thanks!
