Description Jean-François Fortin Tam 2009-12-31 20:08:14 UTC
the /apps/empathy/ui/show_protocols key should be False by default.

Reasoning:
- It obstructs the status icons and adds visual clutter
- It's a power-user feature. They can easily enable it in the View menu.
- Mom and pop don't care about protocols: a contact is a contact.

Indeed. I assumed it was disabled by default; I miss that during the review. My bad.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
