GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 605212
Help functionality on Windows
Last modified: 2018-05-22 13:43:20 UTC
At the moment, help is not available form the help menu on Windows, because the needed functionality for this is not ported to Windows. The problem is that Evince uses a gnome specific 'ghelp:' protocol that is not working out of the box on Windows. I do not think it is worthwhile to port this protocol to Windows. It might be better to wait for (or help) the freedesktop.org project to come up with a cross platform solution (and implement it in gtk?). Hopefully, that could integrate nicely with the windows help system.
