Description Jean-François Fortin Tam 2009-12-22 02:01:39 UTC
No matter what I do, Empathy doesn't display the IRC room I want on startup (yes, I went in Rooms > Manage rooms and checked the "connect automatically" setting). I only see the nickserv messages (which I don't really want to see, but that's bug #555051 I guess).

I need to do F5 or to go in Rooms > #theroomname to join the room, everytime I start up empathy 2.29.3.
Comment 1 Jean-François Fortin Tam 2010-02-07 03:07:20 UTC
Can I get someone to confirm/acknowledge this?
Comment 2 Guillaume Desmottes 2010-02-09 10:44:51 UTC
I can reproduce this issue in master.
Comment 3 Guillaume Desmottes 2010-02-18 17:30:58 UTC
This is actually a telepathy-idle bug: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25039
Comment 4 Jean-François Fortin Tam 2010-02-18 19:07:28 UTC
That upstream telepathy bug report talks about password-protected rooms; I was using public/open rooms, so is it really the same issue?
Comment 5 Guillaume Desmottes 2010-02-19 09:45:07 UTC
It is, the cause was the same. I'll make a new release of telepathy-idle fixing this issue soon.
Comment 6 Guillaume Desmottes 2010-02-19 13:20:34 UTC
This should work with telepathy-idle 0.1.6
