Description Brad Rubenstein 2009-12-16 21:59:24 UTC
The Summary Bar is visible by default.

After importing a QIF file from quicken that has some long ticker symbols, the program becomes unusable because the base window is much wider than the screen, and cannot be shrunk horizontally.

After hours of fiddling, we figured out that it was the Summary Bar that was forcing the window to be too wide.

Request: The minimum horizontal width of the gnucash window should never be wider than the screen.

Workaround: Hide the Summary Bar via the view menu, and don't use it.
