Description Mats Lundälv 2009-12-14 23:04:56 UTC
When the Euro character(€)is added to a Caribou keyboard layout, this character is not getting through to the target application when selected.
Comment 1 intrigeri 2017-06-29 07:38:33 UTC
I can reproduce this on current Debian unstable (GNOME Shell 3.22.3-3, caribou 0.4.21-1+b1) with the en-US keyboard layout. The Journal reads:

gnome-shell[1492]: No keycode found for keyval 20ac in current group

But I cannot reproduce this with the French (alternative) keyboard layout.

I think https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=777468 is a duplicate of this bug.
Comment 3 Daniel van Vugt 2018-01-09 01:53:18 UTC
OK, Mats, or someone who can, please generalise the bug title to cover bug 777468 too.
Comment 4 Mats Lundälv 2018-01-09 20:45:12 UTC
My attempt to a more generalised summary. Hope it makes sense!

Atri, report your issues at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/issues to get some attention of developers.
Comment 10 Atri 2018-03-22 13:01:24 UTC
I did leave a comment here: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/issues/109. Thanks for your suggestion.
Comment 11 André Klapper 2021-05-25 17:46:09 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/caribou/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
