Description Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre 2009-12-08 03:26:48 UTC
Initially reported here: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-pptp/+bug/386961

The PPTP VPN plugin currently doesn't support modifying ppp logging settings such as --loglevel and --nobuffer.

Specifically, --loglevel 0 along with --nobuffer would be useful in order to reduce logging volume and increase speed on PPTP VPN connections on flaky links.
Comment 1 Dan Williams 2010-02-01 22:58:12 UTC
When is nobuffer useful? Only in slow links?

We should probably turn off pptp logging entirely unless nm-pptp-service has the NM_PPTP_DEBUG=1 set in the environment too.
Comment 2 Dan Williams 2010-06-29 17:53:38 UTC
Recent commit sets loglevel to 0 unless you do NM_PPTP_DEBUG=1 in the environment of nm-pptp-service. This was to suppress the unexpected ordering messages that loglevel 1 prints out.

I hope this is fixed.
