Description Jean-François Fortin Tam 2009-12-07 17:28:08 UTC
If I have a bookmark pointing to, for example, sftp://foo@bar, clicking that bookmark (or actually, any access to that server with gvfs) should not create a duplicate "dynamic" entry that serves no real purpose. Only the bookmarks should remain.

If there are no bookmarks for that remote host, the use of a dynamic bookmark entry is acceptable though.

Actually, the order of the arrows should be reversed; it would make more sense if "network" bookmarks were located on the left column. But you get the idea, duplicates are annoying.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
However, you are using a version that is too old and not supported anymore. GNOME developers are no longer working on that version, so unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes for the version that you use.

By upgrading to a newer version of GNOME you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of GNOME.
Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer version of GNOME.

In this particular case, the Places view was removed from the Overview, so this bug no longer applies.
