GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 603971
Don't keeped SFTP (remote connect) passwords
Last modified: 2012-11-12 18:31:27 UTC
Guys, can you correct problems with login/password saving finally?! 1. In the last version of Ubuntu my passwords don't saving. Every time when I click on remote bookmark, I must enter login data again. I'm check `Remember forever`, but it doesn't work. 2. If I check the `Remember forever` and login data was wrong, login window reload with radio button checked at `Forget password`. 3. If I'm select `Forget password`, I'll never can `Remember forever` It's very strange behaviours. I'm register at this bug tracker, because I'm angry. And thousands other users too.
There's no need to be angry. This is very likely a bug in gnome-keyring, or some module missing in GVfs. Do you still experience the issue?
Of course, every day Every day i'm choose 'remember forever' and don't understand why. It's never save my passwords.
This works really fine for me. Which distribution are you using? Do you have gnome-keyring packages installed?
I'm use Ubuntu 10.04 gnome-keyring: Zainstalowana: 2.92.92.is.2.30.0-0ubuntu3 Kandydująca: 2.92.92.is.2.30.0-0ubuntu3 Tabela wersji: *** 2.92.92.is.2.30.0-0ubuntu3 0 500 http://mirror.yandex.ru/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
`Remember forever` has not worked for me at all (10.04), I have to enter my password every time when connecting to my smb network device (between restarts). gnome-keyring installed (2.92.92.is.2.30.3-0ubuntu1.1) So, so angry :-)
This has definitely worked fine for a while now.
I am using ubuntu 12.04, 64 bit I have a synology disk station which uses NFS shares I think there is some sort of time out issue with the tokens. I try to mount the share, it requires user name and password. I select remember forever. It works fine for about an hour or so (not sure how much time exactly, but its rougly a good estimate), then I try to access the files again and it asks me the password again.
I can repeat the bug. I mout my Synology disk station and check "Remember Forever". I make sure that the password exist in the "Passwords and Keys". I restart the machine (logout might be enough?). login and try to remount the Synology disk station. I am prompted for password again even though I make sure that the password is indeed set in the password manager.
