In version of Gnumeric 1.9.16 on Windows Vista Home Premium OS (sp1) content in text fields (sometimes fields also), like size and name of the font, zoom, whole tree in preferences menu, etc. disappears. Shows only when double-clicked to enter the value.

This sounds like a different instance of the same bug #603667, which is most likely a windows bug.
