I downloaded a PDF file of a book, from RapidShare (link here: http://rapidshare.com/files/278285002/Biochemical_Calculations.pdf). When I try to view this PDF file in evince, only even-numbered pages are visible. I thought the file might be corrupted, but I downloaded it a second time and got the same problem. Therefore, I installed xpdf from the Ubuntu repositories, and the problem was solved: I can now read the whole book!

This a poppler bug (CairoOutputDev::drawImageMaskPrescaled issue), could you please forward this bug to the freedesktop bugzilla?
