When closing empathy and then reopening it, the contact list appears to be placed at random places on the screen.  Never in the location it was closed in.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.

What distribution of Linux and what versions of Empathy and of GNOME are you using?

And does this behavior happen when you close the Contact List and then click the Empathy icon to open it again, or when you quit Empathy entirely and then restart it?  I can't reproduce it either way on Ubuntu 9.10 with Empathy 2.28.1.1 & GNOME 2.28.1.
