GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 603092
message using "wireless" when connecting to a "wired" network
Last modified: 2014-01-02 16:48:45 UTC
HI, I've been using Debian/GNU Linux since Etch was released. I'm using the Portuguese : # locale -a C POSIX pt_PT.utf8 Alwais noticed, but never took the time to report, that when connecting successefully to a "wired network", i allways get the message saying that i successefully connected to a "wireless network" (all of this in Portuguese). Hope this is correct. Bye
Is this a correct or incorrect translation? msgid "You are now connected to the wired network." msgstr "Encontra-se agora ligado à rede com fios." that's what currently exists. If it's not correct, can you suggest a better one? Thanks!

"wireless" means "sem fios" "wired" means "com fios" When connecting to a wired network i get "Encontra-se agora ligado a uma rede sem fios." I showl get the message "Encontra-se agora ligado a uma rede com fios." Hope i make myself clear!? Thanks
this appears to have gotten fixed when we switched the messages from "wired"/"wireless" to "Ethernet"/"Wi-Fi"
