Description gail 2009-11-26 22:27:06 UTC
To reproduce:
1) Open a report, eg Budget Report and click on Options then the Accounts tab.
2) Open the tree below the first account.
3) Select the first account.
4) Hold down control and try to select other accounts from the sub-tree.

Instead of the account being selected, the tree closes.

In one of my set of accounts I get similar behaviour at the very bottom of the tree.

Version 2.2.9 on Windows. I've recreated this problem on 2 different machines - Windows XP and Windows Vista.

I have same problem. Very frustrating to select individual accounts. Mostly affects the top account. I have Win 7 and 2.4.5 installed.

BTW I was messing around and came up with a workaround. The bug seems to be related to the Control-MOUSE click. If you clear all the selected accounts, then control-click the first account you want (say in the first tree/branch) and maintain the control key pressed down, then you can use the up/down arrow keys and space bar to select the rest of the accounts you want.

If you release the control button you loose the ability to arrow key up and down the list, and then when you control click again you loose all the previous selected accounts.

I hope this helps in the meantime. It doesn't look like anyone is really working on this bug or maybe there is a duplicate thread?

I also found a workaround that involves scrolling the list so the very first top level account is above the visible region. Then the ctrl-click function for individual toggling seems to work.
