Description zebul666 2009-11-26 09:16:18 UTC
steps:
(1) play a video.
(2) go the right panel, right click on the video file playing,
(3) add a subtitle
(4) continue watching the video the subtitle
(5) then try to open another video file, it will failed with that error
'Can't play a text file without video.'

even if you clear the play list, you will still get that error. the only way is to close totem and reopen it.

it seems totem try to play the subtitle file alone.

Well, it's not actually.

Poke your distribution about the bug.

it's that i use the latest gstreamer module already ! so i need to use git version or what ?

it has nothing to do with my distro if it is an upstream bug of gstreamer, isn't it !?

Your distro can backport packages.
