Description Peter Hutterer 2009-11-26 00:08:37 UTC
Bug #594831 disables the touchpad on a press of the touchpad toggle button (Fn+F8 on lenovo thinkpads). This should trigger some feedback to the user, i.e. an OSD with a touchpad enabled/touchpad disabled icon.

No touchpad icons are found in the default icon theme. I've asked Máirín to create one, AIUI this would need to be committed into the icon-theme before we can use it from gnome-settings-daemon.

We can ship the icon with gnome-settings-daemon, though a touchpad icon probably makes sense for gnome-icon-theme. We'd add an overlay with [X] (as used in NM/gnome-bluetooth and the volume controls) for when it's off.

input-touchpad added to gnome-icon-theme master, closing.
