GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 602807
OpenOffice.org Impress can't show a presentation fullscreen
Last modified: 2011-06-18 07:39:43 UTC
Pressing F5 creates a new window, which can't be seen. Though if a user gets a Window Menu, then he can Resize and Arrow Left the window. Then the window appears.
I'm on Debian Sid, with Sawfish 1.6.0, OpenOffice 3.1.1-8 and can't reproduce it, here. What OpenOffice version are you using, plus if you use Sawfish 1.6.0 (from GIT) instead, does it still happen?
can you reproduce this error with clean sawfish configuration? I mean - move to some other place all sawfish config files ~/.sawfishrc ~/.sawfish, then restart sawfish. Or create a new empty account, log into this fresh account and there try if this bug occurs. This is the first step - check if the problem is due to some unforeseen config option in sawfish.
Yeah. Thanks for the answers. I just got the 1.6 and tried again. I see the same problem with newer version and clean config. I suspect that it's because I started sawfish with 2 monitors (XRandr). But turning off the 2nd monitor didn't fix the problem.
OK. Now I'm able to reproduce it. Very bad issue.
Well. I'm no longer able to reproduce it. Strange. It will hard to fix this, as it's a random issue. I could reproduce with OO.o 3.1.2 and 3.2.? from SID (at the time I said I could reproduce the issue). With any other version I have not been able to reproduce.
Reopening as I can't see any open question.
Can you reproduce with libreoffice? What xorg-module (video-driver) are you using? This issue is very random (32 vs 64bit, different versions of OO.o/LO, different drivers, any combination may or may not trigger it). Ah and with GTK+/GNOME or KDE/Qt integration?

Gracias, Fabio, for closing without reading my comment. It's sawfish ML.
