Description Yann 2009-11-23 17:21:59 UTC
I saw several cases of new users having accidently "Removed their panel" or "Removed an applet" and asking on the forums how to get them back.

This is particulary painful with the Notification Area and the panels but it is true also for all applets.

i think we should ask confirmation (by dialog window) when one clicks on "Delete this panel" or "Remove from panel".

This is fixed in 3.0 by requiring to use the Alt modifier.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all
old feature requests in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you still use gnome-panel and if you are still requesting this feature in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-panel/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be implemented.
