GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 602525
if i mark in Evolution, leave messages on POP server, they are deleted anyway.
Last modified: 2010-03-08 04:08:37 UTC
ubuntu 9.10 karmic Gnome 2.28.1 kernel 2.6.31-14 generic If leave message on POP server, in Evolution, is marked or not, the messages are always deleted from the POP server. So when i mark, leave messages on POP server, i expect the messages stay on the server. Regards, Dieter.
So when exactly are they deleted? Do you have POP extensions enabled or disabled in the Evolution settings?
(In reply to comment #1) > So when exactly are they deleted? Do you have POP extensions enabled or > disabled in the Evolution settings? When i go somewhere travelling, i take my laptop with me. I get my mail from different pop servers and i want the mail on my laptop, so i can read it off-line as well. And when i am home, i get everything with my Desktop and the desktop deletes all the mail from the pop server then. And as i said, that worked before, but i think, since i went to Ubuntu 9.1, i updated from 8.04 to 9.1, not anymore. Pop extensions are enabled by default, i have not disabled the extensions by putting a mark before it. So when Evolution, on my laptop, logs in to three or four pop servers, the messages on the pop servers are always deleted, while they are marked, messages should stay on the server.
dupe of bug 534729 ?
(In reply to comment #3) > dupe of bug 534729 ? If you mean by dupe, duplicate, then that should be right i think. Regards, Dieter.
