GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 602294
xmlNanoHTTPOpen fails to get an URL
Last modified: 2021-07-05 13:27:24 UTC
Trying to fetch with xmlNanoHTTPOpen the following url: http://www.box.net/api/1.0/rest?action=get_account_tree¶ms[]=nozip&folder_id=0&api_key=2uc9ec1gtlyaszba4h6nixt7gyzq3xir&auth_token=whatever I get this message: "error : Unknown IO error" Version is 2.7.6.
Created attachment 148043 [details] a small test case to demonstrate the bug
The problem was in "[]" characters in URL. Encoding them as %5B%5D fixes the problem.
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled). If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version, then please follow https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines and create a new ticket at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libxml2/-/issues/ Thank you for your understanding and your help.
