GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 602097
Two pages per one A4 sheet printout includes extra space at the border

Created attachment 147889 [details] Two pages per one A4 sheet PDF printout On Ubuntu 9.10, using OpenOffice.org, I've created an A4-Document with zero margin and converted it to PDF. When I print this file as one page per sheet, it works fine. However, when I print two pages per sheet either to my printer or to a separate PDF file (which I've attached) evince creates extra space around the document. Basically, I would expect all the Xs in the attached file to be at the edge of the sheet. This was working correctly under Ubuntu 9.04. I've already reported this behaviour with launchpad (#482257), but was asked to report it upstream instead. I confirm this behavior. Nevertheless, this is absolutely normal. You should consider this issue as a 'feature'. Dealing precisely with borders is quite tedious and most of the people do expect theses borders to be here when they print in 2x1. Closing this issue as 'WONTFIX'. Thanks anyway to report this issue ! Feel free to report others !
