After installation and start from the program, pop up " Can not find msvcr71.dll" Program stop and shut down.

If the affected third party application has a bug tracking system you should investigate whether a bug for the reported issue is already filed in this system. If it has not been filed yet please do so. Also ensure that both bug reports contain a link to each other.

Your problem is with a windows library's.

The above text was not correct - the Windows binary package of gnucash indeed had an erroneous dependency on MSVCR71.dll, bug#

However, version 2.3.6 is known to be broken. Please try 2.3.7 (but remove the old gnucash version from your computer first). If a problem similar to this one still appears, please file a new bugreport and we will try to track this down. Thanks!
