F-spot not start in ubuntu 9.10
Last modified: 2009-11-16 10:13:11 UTC
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. This bug report isn't very useful because it doesn't describe the bug well. If you have time and can still reproduce the bug, please read http://bugzilla.gnome.org/bug-HOWTO.html and add a more useful description to this bug.
When i start f-spot i just see for the short time f-spots window and then f-spot close this window and shutdown.
Please open gnome terminal and run f-spot --debug
f-spot debug [Info 11:03:28.518] Initializing DBus [Info 11:03:28.895] Initializing Mono.Addins [Info 11:03:29.249] Starting new FSpot server (f-spot 0.6.1.5) ** (f-spot:4179): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed ** (f-spot:4179): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed ** (f-spot:4179): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed ** (f-spot:4179): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed ** (f-spot:4179): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed [Info 11:03:31.174] Starting BeagleService [Info 11:03:31.196] Hack for gnome-settings-daemon engaged (f-spot:4179): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: GdkPixbufLoader finalized without calling gdk_pixbuf_loader_close() - this is not allowed. You must explicitly end the data stream to the loader before dropping the last reference. The program 'f-spot' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'. (Details: serial 3115 error_code 11 request_code 53 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
and this message i have in all 3 comp with 9.10 ubuntu in 8.10 - OK
