share folder for local computer not showing up in network//

Have installed the latest version of ubuntu,

Sharing several folders, can access via ip address, however my own computer is not showing up in the network list.

Appears to be working fine in Ubuntu 12.04 so I imagine it has been fixed just this was never noticed.
